They are using product experience to enhance the way the product works and redefining how project management can be developed. One of the great things about ClickUp is the ability to customise the way it works specifically for you. They provide a range of templates to inspire and support your development, with the ability to really make the system your own. A little training at the start can help you to understand the way the structure works, from Spaces to Dashboards and Docs. You can also be very creative in what you use it for in order to track your business goals, integrate a team and clients and keep track of your deliverables. As the system works on a build up, users start with a blank slate to work with. This means you are not overwhelmed when you first start out and can build up your ClickUp profile the way you want it to look.

One very useful hint is each year ClickUp run their own online conference called LevelUp https://clickup.com/events/levelup. It’s worth attending and watching their videos from users and experts on improvements, launches and new features. It may also give you opportunities to ask questions about ClickUp so look out for that event.

Live Chat can be a bit hit and miss, and to get into Live Chat you need to work through the help menu a bit. If you click on the question mark on the bottom left you’ll open the Resource Centre. Click Connect with Support and it will open a chatbot. The options take you back into the resource centre documentation but if you persevere you can get live support. The downside of this though is live support are also going to be referring to the guides (as we found out when asking a specific question about if we can change US document size for pdf exports).

ClickUp will give you opportunities via their social media to tell them what you would like added to the system for improvements (this is quite refreshing as often the options to log requests are buried somewhere in the help system) so follow ClickUp to take advantage of when they request people to share what enhancements they would like.

There are some excellent integrations that allow you to link up your documentation storage with ClickUp. You can export your data in excel very easily, and you can also export pdf’s of your documents created in ClickUp. There is a lot of power in the documents area of Spaces so spend some time learning how that works. There is also a very useful documents search function so you can find your information easily.

You have the ability to customise your columns in ClickUp so check out what you can add in. You will need to check what columns are visible/hidden as if you are having some issues exporting your data it may be that a column is not visible in order to be shown in the data export.
